A Little Advice

I was going to put info in the Guild Roster section but apparently I'm not allowed to post there

So I have a basic idea for a character but am struggling to find the best power-set to fit it.

Essentially the character is a zombie, a reanimated dead - whatever you want to call it; brought back for nefarious purposes but able to make up its own mind (mind, brains, geddit?) and decide to make something of his "second life".

All I know at this point is his name - Revenant (in honour of the guy who sacrificed himself in Dark Secrets) - assuming that name is still free when I get on Feb 21st. And that he's gonna be a big, hulking tank - think a modern Frankensteins Monster / Bane from Batman.

I've had a quick look around at the character options and I've decided on Brawling for Weapons (Hulk SMASH lol) and Acrobatics for movement; but I'm at a bit of a loss for powers. Is there one paticularly predesposed to Tanking and holding aggro?

Character wise 'Ice' (Frozen, dead body), 'Gadgets' (Frankensteins nuts and bolts) and 'Nature' (coming out of the earth) make the most sense but I know something between nothing and not a lot about the game mechanics.

Can anyone give any suggestions please?

Yup! The Fire & Ice power sets are tailor-made for tanking, whilst Gadgets and Mental is for Crowd Control. Nature and Sorcery are for Healing.

Fire and Ice are pretty straightforward really and you can guess what kind of powers you get, they are most suited to tanking from what I gather but hey you can mix things up as much as you like! Whilst with Nature you get the ability to morph into different animals/beasts (a Shapeshifter) and the other tree is Plants. Think Poison Ivy with toxins and the like and you're on the right track. I have actually tried out the Nature path as a Tank character and the two worked well together. Anyway, and then there's Sorcery. This is pretty much broken up into two specializations - Summoning and Destiny. Summoning is what you'd expect from Magician types, with Demons and Watchers whilst Destiny is pretty much the healing tree, which helps you create protective spells for your allies as well as some damge ones ofc. I can't really see Gadgets working for your character as that seems a bit techinical for a Zombie and Mental is much more Psychic power tree stuff. Not only that we're full to the brim with CC and from your description I can't see either fitting your character. At the end of the day though mate it's up to you.
